On the Feast of the Assumption, we commemorate the Blessed Mother's happy departure from her earthly life and the assumption of her body and soul into Heaven. We also remember the 790th anniversary of Our Lady's appearance to the Seven Holy Founders and the official founding of the Servite Order. ​ ​
